Getting Married at Villa Corallo: Cristina and Philip’s Wedding in Abruzzo
"Wait, what?" you might say... "Aren’t you the Wedding Planner in Romagna, Marche, and Umbria? And now you’re also organizing weddings in Abruzzo?"
That’s right—this year I had the pleasure of planning a wedding in Abruzzo, more precisely at Villa Corallo (Sant'Omero, Colonnella - TE), for an Italian-American couple, Cristina and Philip, who were determined to celebrate their love at Villa Corallo because of their Abruzzese roots.

A jewel surrounded by nature: Villa Corallo, a luxury wedding venue
Villa Corallo is much more than just a villa—I realized this right from my very first site inspection. It’s an elegant relais nestled within a centuries-old park, featuring refined interiors, period details, antique fireplaces, and tastefully decorated rooms.
From the very beginning, it was clear to me that the property strives for excellence: high-level gastronomy, boutique hospitality, and the ambition to position itself as a gourmet hub in Abruzzo, with renowned chefs and meticulous attention to detail.
Getting married in Abruzzo means embracing authentic landscapes, breathtaking views, delicate sunset light, and a discreet charm that only a venue like Villa Corallo can offer.
Villa Corallo is the ideal setting for a luxury wedding: versatile spaces, elegant atmosphere, and the possibility to tailor every single detail with style. In our case, the entire design concept was entrusted to  Sabrina Urilli, a Wedding Designer from Rome, who selected outstanding vendors and curated every element—from floral design to lighting—making Cristina and Philip’s wedding at Villa Corallo absolutely flawless.
Cristina and Philip: the story behind the dream
Cristina is an extraordinary bride, a woman who knew how to place complete trust in me. Our bond grew from the very beginning, and making her dream of marrying at Villa Corallo come true was an honor.
The choice of venue was deeply meaningful: Cristina’s family roots lie in Colonnella, and celebrating her wedding in Abruzzo gave the ceremony a symbolic value. The celebration was bilingual (Italian and English), officiated by Father Cristoforo Pujol (a childhood friend of the bride), with the participation of her priest brothers.
From the welcome dinner to the transfers between venues and the top-quality live music entertainment, every single detail was handled with professionalism.
The bride’s beauty was enhanced by two incredibly talented professionals, Massimo Cesca and Amel Zaouali, while the design and entertainment involved both Abruzzese and international vendors.

Cristina and Philip’s wedding at Villa Corallo: an unforgettable event of music, flowers, and lights
Organizing a wedding at Villa Corallo for 160 guests, most of whom traveled from the United States, was both a fascinating challenge and an extraordinary adventure. Every detail was carefully planned, and the atmosphere became truly unique thanks to key elements that transformed the event into an unforgettable memory.
Music that moves hearts
The entertainment was exceptional: the voice and energy of Deb Jones Live Music carried the evening from start to finish.
Their international repertoire was refined and engaging, captivating every guest and creating an instant connection.
Every song added a touch of magic, turning the celebration into a powerful, unforgettable party.
Flowers that enchant
The floral arrangements by Stefano Faieta were magnificent—sophisticated, artistic, and thoughtfully curated.
Every flower was carefully chosen and harmonized in colors and shapes, enhancing Villa Corallo’s elegant settings.
The result was a perfect balance of luxury and simplicity, fully aligned with the wedding’s design vision.
Lights that create atmosphere
The lighting design by LampAdoro Eventi was nothing short of outstanding. It wasn’t just an addition—it was a true part of the overall design.
Calibrated and scenographic lighting effects transformed the villa into a magical setting.
Each moment had its own mood: intimate and romantic during dinner, vibrant and dynamic for the final party.
This mix of talent and professionalism made Cristina and Philip’s wedding in Abruzzo a success: a wedding meticulously planned in every detail, yet capable of offering authentic and lasting emotions.
When trust and professionalism turn into magic
The true strength of this wedding lay in the synergy and ongoing dialogue between myself, Cristina, Sabrina Urilli, (the Wedding Designer), and Stefano Faieta, (the exceptional floral designer).
From the very beginning, we set up a clear and shared path: update video calls, detailed site inspections, inspirational mood boards, and precise studies of the table layout and mise en place—nothing was overlooked.
Sabrina and Stefano’s extraordinary expertise, combined with my planning skills, made the organization flawless. On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly because every decision had been carefully designed with passion.
Introducing Sabrina to the bride was the winning move: their shared vision ensured harmony among all vendors and a perfectly cohesive design down to the smallest details.

But the real key to success was Cristina herself: elegant, kind, and wonderful to work with. She trusted me fully, while respecting and appreciating the work of each vendor. Thanks to her, we were able to give our best. Both Sabrina and I loved working alongside her, and Stefano himself expressed how special it was to design her floral arrangements.
Cristina’s trust allowed us to listen, respect, and transform her vision into a unique, harmonious project—exactly what she deserved. This trust created the magic: a wedding that tells not only a love story but also the deep bond between the couple and the professionals who supported them.
Capturing emotions
Photographing a wedding at Villa Corallo requires artistic and technical sensitivity, and Krup Studio captured the day with elegance and authenticity. Their photos tell a story of emotions, light, and detail with poetry. Each shot reflects the essence of the event, the depth of relationships, and the beauty of the venue.
Thanks to their work, anyone looking at the pictures can feel the warmth, joy, and harmony of that day.

A bond beyond work
Some weddings remain in your heart not just for their beauty, but for the people who make them unique. I must dedicate a special thought to Cristina’s mother, Linda, and to Uncle Guerino—two extraordinary people who participated with discretion, gentle ideas, and immense generosity.
Their presence was more than just supportive—it was a gift. With their kindness and warmth, they erased the usual distance between professional and family. They made me feel like part of them, as if I were at home.
Thanks to Linda and Uncle Guerino, my work became much more than a job: it turned into an experience of love and gratitude that I will cherish forever. They taught me that the true value of a wedding is not only in the perfect details but also in the human connections built along the way.

In conclusion
Organizing this wedding in Abruzzo was an intense, emotional, and rewarding experience. I had the chance to fully experience what it means to plan a luxury wedding at Villa Corallo, maintaining the perfect balance between elegance, personality, and local identity.
Cristina and Philip believed in the project and trusted me—it was a privilege to work for them. Their wedding at Villa Corallo holds a special meaning: celebrating love in the land of their roots, surrounded by the authentic beauty of Abruzzo.
